On OEM wheels, the center bore is the same size as the vehicle’s hub. The purpose of this is to distribute the load of the wheel to the hub and not only to the wheel studs. Many aftermarket wheel companies wheel make their wheels’ center bore large enough to fit various models. What that means for you is that all of the load is not on the wheel studs. The hubcentric rings will fill the gap between the vehicle’s hub and the wheel. This helps minimize vibrations at high speed.
What makes TF rings unique is that it is made out of T6061 anodized aluminum. Most other brands are made out of plastic, and if you track your car, the brakes and wheels can generate enough heat where the plastic rings will melt or distort, which can also make removal of the rings messy and difficult.
