- This is a reinforced ignition coil kit designed exclusively for the Civic Type-R (FD2).
- The FD2 offers a good feeling at high RPMs but overtime the stock ignition system deteriorates and misfires at high RPMs may occur.
- Our coil is domestically manufactured making it highly durable in high performance.
- The kit is easy to install with a specially designed collar, bracket, and harness.
- The ignition coil exerts a secondary voltage that is up to 1.6 times higher than the original, preventing misfires especially at high RPMs.
- The ignition coil is mounted higher than the stock mounting position. Since it is away from the heat source, hence improving the lifespan.
- It can be operated with the stock ECU, so it is also recommended as a replacement for stock products that have deteriorated over time. (If the dwell time can be changed, we recommend changing the dwell time.)
- By optimizing the dwell time using an ECU such as the "F-CON V Pro", the ignition coil will perform better, and the combustion condition will be improved.
*OEM or OEM compatible plug covers cannot be installed.
*We recommend using HKS SUPER FIRE RACING spark plugs, which have excellent wear resistance and maximize the performance of this product.
