Description

Chase Bays inInterior BBE Brake Line Relocation - RHD - 89-98 Nissan 240SX S13 / S14

The Chase Bays Brake Line Relocation is for the enthusiast who wants to eliminate engine bay clutter, eliminate delete ABS, and/or compensate for a different master cylinder setup (IE: Brake Booster Eliminator). The OEM brake hard lines are replaced and relocated with -3AN stainless steel, Teflon PTFE lined, black PVC coated lines.

There are 4 terms you should familiarize yourself with when deciding which Brake Line Relocation is right for you.

OEMC - OEM Master Cylinder
BBE - Brake Booster Eliminator (click here for more info)
inBay -
All brake lines and the adjustable proportioning valve are installed in engine bay. They are routed more stealthily than OEM for improved aesthetics. Driver to passenger side line(s) route under the engine along the subframe or sway bar. The inBay kit is easier to install than the inInterior kit, but is less stealthy and offers less engine bay space savings than the inInterior.
inInterior –
The majority of the brake lines along with the adjustable proportioning valve are relocated to the interior behind the firewall. The lines pass through the firewall using AN bulkheads. Depending on the chassis and MC used, only 1 or 2 lines are visible in the engine bay, resulting in a stealthy and aesthetically pleasing appearance. Installation requires minimal drilling into the firewall along with the fenderwell. On most chassis, dash removal is recommended to simplify interior-side drilling and line routing.

The Brake Line Relocation replaces all of the engine bay hard lines up to the lines in the fenderwell. It does not include the fenderwell to caliper lines. Those are available separately hereThe front to rear line is adapted two different ways depending on what master cylinder type is used. For OEMC, there is an OEM inline adapter on the passenger side frame rail near the firewall. This will be retained and our included metric to -3AN male to male adapter will thread directly into this. For BBE inBay, the OEM inline adapter will be eliminated and replaced with our adjustable proportioning valve. It will mount in the same location as the OEM inline adapter did and uses our supplied metric to NPT female to male adapter for the OEM tube nut to thread directly into the proportioning valve. For BBE inInterior kit, the front to rear line is adapted by cutting the line to length (see installed photos), sliding the tube nut and sleeve on, and flaring to 37º using a proper flare tool. The tube nut will thread directly onto the 90º bulkhead installed on the lower firewall.
