This new turbo has already been receiving tons of praise from the power hungry Australian SR20 enthusiasts. The main selling point to this new turbo is the incredible power potential for a bolt on application. Being a true bolt-on means that any SR20DET sporting its standard turbo can upgrade to the Precision 5130 without any modification needed to the intake pipe, hot-side intercooler pipe, dump pipe and exhaust manifold. The previous king of SR20DET bolt-on turbos was the Garret GT2871R, while allowing for fairly high top end power, the then unavoidable increase in lag and decrease in response was hard to see past. The Precision bolt on 5130 with its proprietary technology allows it to not only exceed the output of the GT2871R but do it with better response and less lag, making it the go to bolt-on option for anyone looking to close in on the 400rwhp (with supporting mods) mark with their SR20DET.
This kit comes with both the Tomei SR20DET Exhaust Manifold and the Tomei Turbine Outlet. Both of these peices are known for their quality and durability. Tomei insures a perfectly flat flange which can greatly prolong the life of the hrad to replace gaskets both at the head and turbine sides.
