EXEDY cerametallic clutches are designed to handle the abuse of high power modified engines. Exedy’s cerametallic friction material can handle much more slippage than stock type disc assemblies without slipping and fading. All EXEDY cerametallic clutch discs have spring center dampers to reduce the impact and shock loads put into the drive train. This protects the transmission and the rest of the drive line system

The Exedy thick, 3-puck clutch discs have better heat capacity and better durability in demanding applications. Recommended for street performance, rally and track use.

Flywheel:

The Exedy Flywheel is a lightweight flywheel that is made from one solid piece of billet chromoly steel, and is designed to be a lightweight flywheel replacement for your stock flywheel. Exedy produces clutches for many cars from the factory, so their experience and research and development team knows the best weight, best design, and best materials to use when creating a performance lightweight flywheel for your car.

The Exedy lightweight single mass flywheel replaces the heavy stock OEM dual mass flywheel at half the price.   The OEM dual mass flywheel is non-machinable which means it is not reusable and must be replaced if the surface is worn, scored, or has hot spots.  Cost on a new OEM flywheel can be in excess of $1000!   The Exedy flywheel is machinable and therefore reusable, saving money over the long term.  Any single mass flywheel on a vehicle originally equipped with a dual mass flywheel may transmit more engine vibration to the transmission causing some transmission noise at idle and up to approximately 2000 rpm.
